By accessing or using PDFslime ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
PDFslime provides browser-based PDF processing tools including viewing, editing, protecting, unlocking, compressing, merging, splitting, rotating, page numbering, OCR, and image conversion. The Service operates entirely client-side — your files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to any server.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have the legal right to modify any PDF you process with PDFslime
- Not using the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Not attempting to disrupt or compromise the Service
- Keeping backups of your original files (we cannot recover lost data)
4. Intellectual property
PDFslime and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PDFslime and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of any PDFs you process with the Service. We claim no rights over your documents.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation, accuracy of results (including OCR), and compatibility with all devices or browsers.
6. Limitation of liability
In no event shall PDFslime be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, any errors or omissions, loss of data or documents, or unauthorized access to your data. Since files are processed locally on your device, we have no access to or control over your data.
7. Password removal features
PDFslime's Unlock tool removes a password from a PDF when you already know that password. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to access the PDF, not using this tool on documents you do not own or have authorization to access, and complying with all applicable laws regarding document access.
8. Modifications to the service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
